President Biden thanked first responders with an awkward phone call into the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday that provided some cringeworthy TV for viewers of the annual parade.
From the Massachusetts island home of private-equity billionaire David Rubenstein, the president and first lady Jill Biden engaged in a call that started with a lengthy and uncomfortable silence as NBC’s Dylan Dryer, on scene at the parade, seemed unable to hear the pair for about 30 seconds.
“I’m not one to take a phone call during TV, but I think I should answer this one,” Dreyer said.

The entire production was cringe worthy. As someone else noted on another thread it was just a three hour info commercial for NBC and “diversity” with small breaks for snip-its of the parade.
Did he wish everyone a happy 4th of july?

Are people still watching goofy parades on Thanksgiving morning. They had those on when I was a kid and I couldn’t think of a more boring way to spend Thanksgiving morning.
How much time did they devote to the Queer Marching Band?

This is a streaming video that just stays on the parade with all the ambient noise you would expect. Quality is not great but you get the parade without commentary.
I’ve never understood the appeal of parades in general. I hated watching them as a kid. The TV announcers would try to liven it up for the viewers but usually you could tell they were faking their enthusiasm. I can deal with the military ones but the Thanksgiving and Tournament Of Roses parades are just too damn boring. The only occasional exciting thing that happens is when a stupid cartoon character float drifts out of control and starts a panic with spectators watching the parade.
The part of the broadcast I caught was pretty darn funny.
What are these idiots in the WH thinking? They know Joe is clearly unfit for office. He needs to disappear.
I watched Macys Parade. It getting more idiotic every year. The singers are out of sync with the music, dancers are overweight, and the hosts are as stupid as can be.
What about Hunter’s stripper kid? He doesn’t get to go to the firehouse. At least he’s not getting diddled by the brain dead pedo grandad.
