Anyone think Kevin McCarthy has the spine to shut down the government —pass no funding — when China Mitch refuses to spend less, and/or Biden vetos?

McCarthy will “compromise” (cave), as always. We need someone with demonstrated spine, not promised spine, who has never showed it in the past.

Not sure it would be a good idea. Newt Gingrich inadvertently saved Clinton’s butt on economics. If Clinton had run amok like Bidenjill has the economy would have tanked so bad he wouldn’t have won reelection.

That was like 0.05% of federal spending. Major spending is for Medcare, Medicaid, Social security, welfare, and pentagon. None of that was cut.
