She grew up thinking bananas had brown spots all over the skin and that the inside banana was brown, gooey and mushy.
Trouble was getting the flour and other ingredients and fuel to run the stove.....not the same... There have always been fresh bananas in the US to my knowledge. It wasn’t so there...
