With mass public shootings in just the last week in Colorado and Virginia, people naturally want to do something to stop these attacks.
But semi-automatic guns provide critical self-defense benefits. After each shot, a semi-automatic gun reloads itself. A single-shot gun, by contrast, requires manual reloading. This can prove a liability, especially against multiple attackers.

Semi-autos have been around over 100 years at this point. We aren’t giving them up because a dementia-addled fool says we shouldn’t have them.
And Semi-autos are an accommodation for ADA.
When they face the people they've lied to, and not because they are sorry, but to avoid the noose around their neck.
They won’t be given up voluntarily in large numbers.
Any government that forcefully or coercively snatches them will receive unwanted donations.

Exactly. Mayors and high level police officials will be in crosshairs or red dot, which ever you prefer.
