Calling all anti-war conservatives: Call your senators! URGENT!
twitter ^ | Dec 12 | Scott Horton

Posted on 12/12/2022 1:17:51 PM PST by RandFan

@scotthortonshow

YEMEN YEMEN YEMEN.

I know I'm trying yall's patience with this, BUT

The Senate is supposed to vote on the War Powers Act resolution SJ Res 56 TOMORROW TUESDAY.

Sanders says he has the votes. We have to make sure.

Please please please call your senators today.

(202) 224-3121

We have a chance -- you and me, regular people -- have a chance to end a war.

A terrible, disgusting, no-good, very-bad war. Genocide and Treason. And that's not hyperbole.*

Please do what you can to drum up support today and tomorrow.

Get you partner and co-workers to call.

If it passes the Senate, we only have one more day to pressure the House to follow suit.

We must take this opportunity! We must succeed!

If your Senator is a GOP, tell them that this is not the war on terrorism. This is the war for AQAP since Obama switched sides in 2015. It's an unconstitutional, undeclared war, it's a giant waste of money and we can't afford it. America First. Vote yes.

If your Senator is a Dem, tell them that Biden needs this support for his negotiations against pressure from McConnell and the GOPs. It's a humanitarian crisis and we're all mad at the Saudis for killing that reporter and hiking up gas prices. Send them a message. Vote yes.

Pretty rare that I would agree with Bernie Sanders on anything, but he is one of the few Senators outside the Uniparty, and that means he does speak truths sometimes that few on our side dare.

I gather this is to not support the Saudis.

An absolutely disastrous, pro Iranian, stupid move.

Donald Trump supported Saudi and had an excellent relationship with them against Iran.

Anti war my a$$.

“We need the Saudis”

Why?

We did once depend on their oil. But thanks to Trump we are now a net oil producer and no longer need to depend on tyrants who hate us.

U.S. president confirms deployment of troops in Yemen

By The Cradle (Posted Jun 14, 2022) Originally published: The Cradle on June 12, 2022 (more by The Cradle)

In a letter addressed to Congress earlier this week, President Joe Biden confirmed that the U.S. has deployed troops to Yemen with the aim of battling extremist groups and continuing military support for the Saudi-led coalition.

“A number of American military personnel are deployed in Yemen,” the U.S. president said,

"to conduct operations against Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and ISIS, as well as providing military advice and information to the Saudi-led coalition.?

According to Biden’s letter, the U.S. military will continue to work “closely” with “partner regional forces” in their operations against Ansarallah.

The letter adds that the U.S. military presence in Yemen is “to protect U.S. interests by providing air and missile defense capabilities and support the operation of United States military aircraft,” but stressed that the U.S. role in the country is “non-combatant” and is for “defensive purposes.”

Although the U.S. president previously vowed to end offensive support for the Saudi-led coalition amid growing criticism in Congress of Washington’s role in the brutal war on Yemen, the letter confirms the White House’s continued support for Saudi Arabia and its allies.

Since the start of the war, Washington has provided direct military, intelligence, and logistical support to the Saudi-led coalition.

According to a report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), the state and defense departments have both turned a blind eye to the coalitions killing of civilians in Yemen.

In particular, the report highlights that the deadliest attacks by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen were carried out by using combat jets and munitions supplied and maintained by U.S. companies, with the approval of the State Department and the Pentagon.

According to the UN, the war in Yemen has killed at least 233,000 people directly and indirectly due to an increase in the prevalence of diseases as a result of attacks on health facilities and the widespread shortage of food.

Before entering office, Biden promised to end U.S. support for the Saudi-led coalition, but after his election, the U.S. president reneged on his promises and continued with the same Trump-era policies that have enabled the brutal attacks on the people of Yemen.

Not sure I am against this involvement. It's not a major commitment that would quickly escalate onto a wider problem.

Anyone have more information about this deployment, that might sway me?

After the 2008 bank bailout passed and Too-Big-To-Fail was affirmed I realized that those dirty dogs in both houses of Congress don’t care what is good for me.
The reports I heard at the time and have seen in the years since: Opposition to that bailout was running AT LEAST 9 to 1. Yes! The majority of constituents who contacted legislators OPPOSED the Bailouts by overwhelming numbers.
You can decide if YOU want to spend time on this task.
Maybe your voice will make a difference?

It is so important that the primary information is missing.

THIS IS A WAR FOR AQAP

So, we should all know what AQAP is, that it is bad, and we should vote against it.

Shy then does the poster does not specify what AQAP refers to?

I am laughing. Like the voters can influence the politicians to stand up to the MIC. Yeah right. Good one! War is business and business is very good for the Globalists and DC insiders.

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) is the union of al-Qaeda’s branches in Saudi Arabia and Yemen. AQAP has carried out violent jihadist attacks both domestically and internationally in service of al-Qaeda’s ideology.

"we are now a net oil producer and no longer need to depend on tyrants who hate us.

I doubt we are a net oil producer now with Biden's Leftnik's creating policy to destroy our oil independence. We will have to re-elect Trump to put us back on track.
