Twitter's former censor has been forced to flee the $1.1m Bay Area mansion he shares with his boyfriend after Elon Musk shared part of his thesis which suggested letting children access gay hook-up app Grindr.
Yoel Roth, 34, and his partner Nicholas Madsen, 44, moved out of their two-bed, two-bath property in El Cerrito over fears for their safety, the Washington Post reported.
The tweet said to have sparked the move saw Musk write: 'Looks like Yoel is in favor of letting children being able to access adult internet services in his PhD thesis.'
He shared a screenshot of part of said document.
Roth's thesis, written in 2016 while at the University of Pennsylvania, saw him claim that many under-18s access gay hook-up app Grindr, despite being too young to do so.
He then suggested that an age-appropriate version of the app be created, in order to offer support to LGBT youth.
During his time at Twitter, in his role of trust and safety, Roth had huge sway in decided which posts needed to be removed and accounts suspended.
He also gleefully joked about upcoming meetings with FBI officials in the recently-released Twitter files.
The former trust and safety manager has become emblematic of what free-speech fans say were the issues with Twitter censoring posts which went against prevailing liberal orthodoxy.
News of his apparent dealings with the FBI sparked claims the social media network was in bed with the federal government, with the initial tranche of files including requests from the Democrat party itself to remove unflattering tweets about Hunter Biden.

Another thing....when you or I use the term ‘flee’....it usually means a forest fire in the area...bear-attack going on...tidal wave....flood action.
I think in their case...flee means that two neighbors asked him if he was feeling ok, or if he was going to have problems finding another job. I don’t think flee really fits his reaction, unless he is awful fragile, and can’t handle questions of any type.
We need to pray for protection around Musk.

1. We seem to always take them at their word regarding ‘threats’. I seriously doubt they are ‘threats’ as we see them. More likely someone dropping a note on their property saying “I’m glad you left Twitter”, or “You need to cut the lawn soon”. These people have flipped the language, so now anything can be a ‘threat’ in their world.
2. Sadly, threats do work, at least against our side. Among other things, it’s the reason why there is only one Donald Trump, a billionaire willing to risk it all to be president, rather than 50 Donald Trumps, as there are plenty of rich billionaires who see what’s happening to our country...but ‘play it safe’
3. Same for corporate officers - want to make the threats to you and your family go away, do what’s demanded by those making the threats. Otherwise we’d have far more corporations standing up to these clowns. But note one thing - at this point, at least, they are ONLY threats. No serious ‘action’ against the few that do stand up to them, other than maybe lawsuits and DOJ investigations - but nothing like kidnapping family members (obviously it may happen without us knowing).
At this point, the Left is getting what they want with just threats, as they continue to push, more Trump/Musk types will push back, and they will likely start to move beyond threats.

Some lucky few in the future may live in a house with two -- yes, two bedrooms. Such a mansion may not be available to many, but those fortunate to live in such luxury will count themselves lucky indeed.
