Bout was sentenced in 2011 to a minimum of 25 years in prison. That means he had to serve 25 years before being considered for release. His sentence was upheld on Appeal in 2013. Wikipedia is saying he was scheduled for release in August 2029. I don’t know how they got that date. If anything, he shouldn’t have been considered for release until 2036.
