Looked to me like Kushner was his handler when he was in office.

*********

Not his wives as he is on his 3rd one of them. My guess is
it isn’t human but wealth/money that has been ingrained over
time to him.

I’d say he has become intimately aware of how it works - your list of his “faults” seem to revolve around him not being a politician so he trusted the wrong folks - that can be an asset after lessons learned.
Just my opinion.

You’re probably right on many accounts, but this is no reason not to fight.

What should he do differently?

“Sadly that is all we heard about in the media news forum today .....”

If he had not done that, we would have heard crickets from the news media.

I think it was brilliant. Some ‘tards will go watch his speech now, hoping to find out if he talked about the NFT.

Please explain to me how things are actually working now. Are we using the constitution? Is the law being followed?

My point is, you level a charge at someone and I contend that NO ONE knows how things are currently working.

Yeah, I don’t know what would make these fellows happy. I get the feeling Jesus himself could run and folks would be complaining about the color robe he wore to a debate.

“Look, off-white? C’mon, Barabbas even made fun of that. Jon Stewart and Steve Colbert were laughing. I can’t abide, I’m going with Barabbas”

Makes you wonder if many are even on our team.

Mr. President,

Your announcement for restoring First Amendment Rights for Americans is an admirable goal,
in order to "rip out the system of censorship and information control" you must first be re-elected again.
Receiving enough votes to overcome the SYSTEMIC DEMOCRAT ELECTION FRAUD will be difficult,
but once you are back in your rightful place in the Whitehouse I beleive your HIGHEST PRIORITY should be re-securing the American Election integrity.
You of all people should be the most concerned about this, for without the power of the Presidency,
NOTHING will be done to crush the Democrat/Communist Agenda of destroying America.

Agreed - but I don't see any signs that he has actually learned literally any lessons. He doesn't seem to have learned any of the technical/legal stuff himself, nor has he surrounded himself with better people. If anything, the people around him are even worse now.

You don't have to be a politician if 1) you have trusted people who share your vision, and they understand how the system works, 2) you are a high-detail guy who digs into this stuff and learns quickly, or perhaps 3) you aren't a politician but have otherwise been immersed in law/governance and so understand the legal/governmental systems.

Kushner seemed to understand enough of how things worked to have been useful, but he really didn't share Trump's vision on a lot of issues. And he's gone anyway.

Reagan is the classic non-politician who succeeded, but he had multiple consiglieres in James Baker, Michael Deaver, and Ed Meese. Meese and Baker were both lawyers who understood the Constitution, regulatory system, etc..

Trump has none of that, and I'm not sure who other than himself can be blamed for the people with whom he chooses to surround himself.

Are you asking me to explain the entire US code, the code of federal regulations and the US Constitution? Because no, I'm not going to attempt that.

Otherwise, I'd point out that a federal judge just struck down the Biden administration's reversal of the Remain in Mexico policy. Other federal courts have struck down his attempted cancellation of the student loan programs. Obama's attempt to use the regulatory system to unilaterally implement green energy policies also was struck down. We just had the reversal of Roe v Wade based on the Constitution, And we're also looking at the Supreme Court striking down affirmative action programs within the next 6 months.

There are a ton of other examples of laws, regulations, and the Constitution being applied on a daily basis. If you think businesses don't fight to comply with regulations on a daily basis, then you have no idea what you're talking about.

It doesn't work perfectly or quickly, but a belief that none of that matters at all is exactly the kind of twisted thinking that gets Trump in trouble.

It matters a ton. And if you or trusted subordinates don't understand what that stuff means, and how it works, you can't fix it.

Trump is a builder, businessman and Trump World showman. I’ve never gotten the impression he was all that interested in the day to day running of government and foreign policy. His interest in foreign policy is only when it intersects with business related economic issues. So many missed opportunities there, unfortunately.
