Not at all. He is creating a contrast between himself and the old Twitter. Also, he is putting the lie to the idea that half the country is going to dump Twitter. These guys want back in, now.

He wussed out. No he didn't. He listened to his audience at Twitter in an effort to live up to his own commitment to free speech.
A guy who can build an empire is no a wuss. You know that. If he were a wuss, he would have been eaten alive by the carnivores in the business world long before now.
In fact, usually guys like Musk are quite the opposite. They are tyrannical. The fact that Musk is willing to listen to a bunch of people he doesn't even know speaks volumes about his courage.

Nah - he indicated that twitter users actually have a vote - this will keep leftists from even pretending to do a mass migration away - he’s playing them like a toy drum.
