What benefit does the US get from those resources?

If they are so valuable, the ukrainians should have properly armed, trained and funded their army.

Not like Russia invading was a surprise to anyone.

We’re bankrupting the US to launder money via Ukraine. I do not see a benefit to doing this.

They did, which is how and why they stopped the Russians cold in February and March, despite being vastly outnumbered and outgunned.
