HALLS, Tenn. (WVLT/Gray News) - Tennessee authorities say a store employee has died in a robbery Thursday morning.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a Rural King retail store regarding a shooting at about 10:30 a.m.
Authorities said the shooting occurred after a man was attempting to take ammunition and other items from the store when an employee intervened.
WVLT reports the alleged shoplifter and employee got into a struggle with the suspect shooting and killing the worker.
Authorities said the suspected shooter took off from the scene after the shooting.
The sheriff’s office did not immediately identify the employee who died but said he was 23 years old.

In rural Tennessee? Not a healthy pastime.
Nor are employees armed, in a Rural King store. Anyone can enter with a gun. TN is a Permitless state, you just have to follow the former permit rules. I have a Lifetime permit.
No hips, no boobs, real skinny, probably a Tranny or homo.
Walmart's customer service number is terrible. Once, I made a big purchase online for a store pickup, but the store didn't have the items in stock when I showed up. It took weeks and many calls and arguments before Walmart issued me a refund.
As for thieves, in retail, sometimes the biggest thieves are employed for the store. Where I worked for a short time, the police were called many times to haul an employee out in handcuffs - typically a cashier. Sometimes the employees themselves have all sorts of elaborate scams going.
A group of employees were caught in a scam involving credit cards at an office where I worked many years ago. They set it up so that a sweet, innocent employee would look like the thief, and they had the merchandise they stole delivered to an abandoned house.
UPDATE:
18-year-old Larry McBee Jr. has been arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder.
And, back in October, he was arrested for shooting another man when they struggled over a gun.
Hang him.
If civilization can’t protect an honest man it’s got no right defending a criminal.
Today, the Law is on the side of the criminal. As far as the Law is concerned the honest man can go to hell.

The hero employee, Tristan Smith, was the THIRD son his mother lost. Her other two sons died at 18 and 23 in car accidents.
Very sorry to hear of her plight.
