WASHINGTON — An Arizona man who became the target of online conspiracy theories after he joined protesters outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, told a House committee that he wasn't secretly working for the government during the attack and that the campaign against him has torn his life apart.
Ray Epps told the Jan. 6 committee that the theory that he was working for the FBI never made much sense, given that his ’ image landed on an FBI poster immediately after the attack. He wasn't working for the CIA or the National Security Agency or the Washington Metropolitan Police Department, he said.
“The only time I’ve been involved with the government was when I was a Marine in the United States Marine Corps," Epps said.
Epps, who was a supporter of former President Donald Trump, said in the interview released Thursday that his grandchildren were being "picked on at school" because of his actions. He has gotten death threats. His business dropped. People have shown up at his house.
"We had a tour bus come by our home and our business with all these whacked out people in it," Epps said. "There are good people out there that was in Washington. Those aren't the people that's coming by our house. This attracts — when they do this sort of thing, this attracts all the crazies out there."
Epps was seen on video telling other Trump supporters the night before the attack that they needed to go into the Capitol. Epps told the committee that he was under the impression that the building, which was closed to the general public because of Covid restrictions, would be open.

Yet he was never arrested, and indeed, his name was quickly removed from FBI wanted lists. Any testimony he may have given to Capitol Police or J6 committee is secret - and now, even though he’s admitting everything, State-run media is making him a victim.

He supposedly went from being on the top ten most wanted list in the immediate aftermath, to never even being arrested. If that’s true, something wasn’t right.
During his “interview” with the Unselect Committee, did they ever bother to ask him why he was there that day?

ah, the telltale sign of uncritically copying a canned propaganda story line...
So his explanation is, he thought the Capitol was open. He was telling crowds “We have to go into the Capitol” and they knew it was so wrong they were shouting back that he was a “Fed Fed Fed!”
But he had no inkling of why they were calling him a Fed?
And all you have to do is say “I thought the Capitol was open” and you’re forgiven.
While they destroyed the lives of people who did much less. Including people who the police let in, who therefore “thought the Capitol was open”.
STFU, Ray and the MSM, why weren’t you arrested and prosecuted despite video evidence showing you taking a leadership role in the storming of the Capitol and the breach of the perimeter? I would go to jail if I had the opportunity to take a swing at your lying face! I hate your smelly guts!!!

I watched many hours of that day particularly video cell phones by the participants (themselves!) used by FBI to track and arrest many afterwards … Much of it right in the heat/center of all of the violence on the West sude, near the Tunnel Battle, etc and I have seen multiple of at least 7 to 8 different suspects also instigate others to go in with bullhorns or yelling at the top of their lungs that “we need to seize the power! Take the Congress! Let’s go what are we waiting for!” Particularly right after the first Trump tweets hit, smacking Pence… so no
it wasn’t just solely Epps egging on the crowd… And by the way a number of those have already been arrested and now convicted for the incitement (Oathkeepers, PB etc) it’s all on tape
problem ray is that you have someone with juice protecting you from your actions. whoever it is has a lot of juice, so I tend to believe most likely you are a fed. For this type of protection, you had to have rendered a service to someone in government.
