I live in NYC metro area where there are a lot of Teslas. I am not aware of any major issues in my area during the cold snap. Now granted, the cold snap occurred over the Christmas holiday where most Tesla owners probably stayed home or took their ICE vehicle if they had to go someplace.
If I owned a Tesla, I would not want to take it on long drives in the cold, especially over a major holiday weekend. I'd likely leave it in the garage. I think that's what most people did.
