Bad move. Would make the uniparty too visible. They need the illusion that there are two parties that oppose each other. Better to control a so-called conservative GOP speaker than to obliterate the illusion of representative government for half the country.
I’m not sure they are as interested in maintaining the two party mirage more than they are showing the backbone of the last true conservative holdouts has finally and completely been broken. Whether that is correct or not their evil arrogance might expose them sooner than we expect.
