The Republican governor of Texas delivered a frosty welcome to President Joe Biden in El Paso on Sunday, accusing him of opening the southern border to illegal immigrants and handing him a letter demanding that he take more action to tackle the crisis.
Gov. Greg Abbott blasted Biden's visit — his first to the border as president — saying that the city had been cleaned up for his trip.
And he characterized the trip as '$20 billion too little and two years too late' in a scathing description of Biden's failure to control illegal migration.
'Even the city you visit has been sanitized of the migrant camps which had overrun downtown El Paso because your administration wants to shield you from the chaos that Texans experience on a daily basis,' he wrote
Biden touched down in the border city around midday in what officials hoped was a chance to underscore his commitment to tackling illegal immigration.
Republicans have used record numbers of illegal arrivals to bludgeon the Biden administration during the past two years.

Abbott omitted the most important point of all. His aides probably urged him to delete it...

Abbott has been slow to come around but he’s going in the right direction. Too bad it was after more than a million illegals poured into Texas in the last 18 months.
Good for Abbott. Brandon will just say that Abbott just doesn’t know how to handle these poor, down trodden immigrants....aka...illegal aliens.

I would luv to be that proverbial mouse in the corner when Biden commented on that letter later in private...:) If that could be recorded and published it would wake a lot of people up as to how power politics really works and how politicians view the average citizen.
Karen Bass here in LA did the same damn thing..she cleansed the area she was visiting of hobos so she didnt have to smell them..the second she left they were allowed back in
He has. He’s done a *lot* more than this letter. The letter is for documenting the issues and for making his (our) points directly to Diaper Dude without being interrupted and silenced.
I find it hard to believe that Abbott couldn't have put a stop to said 'sanitizing' and saw to it that residents gave POS a 'welcome' hard to filter from even MSM cameras.
If he'd really wanted to...
