Let me see if I got this straight. They’ll ban gas stoves because of the possibility of “health and respiratory problems”, but they won’t ban cigarettes. Right.

My wife and I have been looking at gas ranges to buy for our house at the farm. What we want is one that will operate even if the power went off.

Unique makes a great one (oven is a little small) made in Canada;

Brown Stove Works makes an incredibly simple one (with larger oven) made in Tennessee;

G.E.’s Hotpoint division has a nice simple unit made in USA, but owned by CCP.

I was in the Wholesale Hardware Distribution industry for almost 40 years, I remember selling Marco Pride Cast Iron Wood Stoves. We shipped them primarily to mountains in Colorado and New Mexico.
