Apropos of nothing, maybe, but I honestly didn’t know Megan Markle was black until the the press started beating that drum endlessly. Nor did I care. Nor do I care now. So it mystifies me that she is able to discern racism where it almost certainly doesn’t exist. As a practical matter, she isn’t much darker than anyone else, she is culturally mainstream. The racism is all in her own mind (and in the minds of the race-obsessed mainstream press, perhaps).
As a couple these two seem to bring out the worst in one another. You expect royals to be a bit dotty but this is embarrassing.
