A woman I work in her late 30s told me that many of her friends are choosing not to have children; the reason basically being they want to have fun and don’t want the responsibility of being parents. It’s as if they are prolonging childhood/adolescence deep into adulthood.
Lots of young women aspire to be professional Influencers or Travel Bloggers. They want to "earn" a living by traveling, having fun, and posting about it on their Instagram and YouTube channels.
Such women exist. I've come across their YouTube channels. I can't imagine they all earn a living at it. I assume some have trust funds or sugar daddies.
One of my daughters is recently married, and she and her husband are not planning on having children. She is 35, her husband is 42. They both make great money and like the good life. It’s kind of late to start a family, so they are content and don’t want to complicate their lives with children.
My other daughter is 39, single, and is just now getting her life on track.
No grandkids here.
