Yep. Gorgeous. Mine was cherry wood. I had my military Springfield stripped down from its hulking wood stock, had it sent to a gunsmith to remove the open ladder sights, have the bolt handle heated and curved to clear a modern scope frame. I know I ruined the collector value but that gun continues to be the best shooting group at 100 yards. If you're a good marksman, which I am not, easily out to 500 yards.
My 760 Game Master can't hold a tight grouping at any great distance. About the same as the 30-30 at 100 yards. The Springield keeps a 3" grouping for me.
