The big question is whether SC is one of those idiot states that demand differential speeds for passenger cars and semi trucks. If you try to stay in the right lane, you are constantly having to get into the fast lane to dodge trucks, when keeping to speed limits, rather than simply keeping up with traffic.

Exactly. I would drive in the right lane all the time. Except you constantly have to speed up and slow down then switch to the left lane and switch back to the right as you go around slower cars.

I prefer to do 10 mph over the speed limit in the left lane. If someone wants to go 15 or 20 over, fine. Let them do the switching and swerving and go around me.
