Former President Donald Trump proclaimed former Vice President Mike Pence “an innocent man” after classified documents were found in his Indiana home last week.
“Mike Pence is an innocent man,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Tuesday afternoon. “He never did anything knowingly dishonest in his life. Leave him alone!!!”
According to CNN on Tuesday, Pence’s lawyer initially alerted the National Archives to the materials. The Justice Department was subsequently notified by the National Archives.
The FBI and Justice Department have launched an investigation into the documents and how they were taken to Indiana. Pence’s home in Washington, DC, was reportedly searched, and no classified documents were found.

Trump has criticized Pence harshly, and he knows Pence threw Flynn under the bus, then the January 6 thing, with Pence signing on for the Deep State account of the Jan 6 ‘riots’.

I do think part of the reason it seems like Trump had so many betrayers in his government is that you’d basically have to replace everyone in DC to get public servants not YET compromised, and then many of those would be compromised either falsely (framed) or through human failing. The tentacles of the deep state are everywhere, and they have learned how to break people.
Wonder why Pence still has a home in DC. I sure do a lot of wondering in my old age!

President Trump coming to someone’s defense is like teasing junk yard dogs with red meat. Without this push the DOJ would have likely gone through the motions and gave him a slap on the wrist. Now he will most likely be treated to the full meal deal.

No one votes for any of the career deep state that have people there their entire careers, that outlast any one or few particular elected official.

My guess is that Trump would have declassified any and all documents the Pence may have had and it not, it was clearly just a slight oversight by the Vice President.
It can be explained away very easily.
