DNIPRO, Ukraine—Russia is regrouping its forces in eastern Ukraine and launching offensives along five lines of attack, Ukraine’s armed forces said on Saturday as officials in Kyiv and Western capitals continue to warn of a major Russian push to gain territory.

The main focus of Russia’s offensive remains the besieged city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, which it is seeking to surround and capture. The Ukrainian military said it had repelled multiple attacks, inflicting significant losses for the Russians.

Russia had real experience in battle to sort out for itself all its failures in leadership. Did they do so?

I'm already hearing it:

"Ukraine's defeat was totally worth it!"
"We traded 50 cents for each dollar!"
"We killed 200,000 Russians!" (or whatever the made-up number is now)

The first visible sign of an upcoming Russian offensive was at the recent Davos fest and the obvious panic with which Z called for new armaments and the speed of the Western response.

Either the reasons will be what you mention or the blame will be the West didn’t do enough, the tanks and fighter jets should have been given to Ukraine a year ago, etc.

Warmongering globalists want as many dead people of European heritage as possible.

Warmongering glovalists want dead Russians and dead Ukrainians.

The Empire of Lies will have to face reality or face collapse. You can't run enormous deficits forever. Money printing doesn't mean actual production. A man can't become a woman. Gay marriage is a farce.

Russia is doing the hard work it takes to win a war. The United States and its proxy thought they could win the war by saying they were winning the war.

Putin is the one here who wants dead Ukrainians. That’s why he invaded Ukraine. He doesn’t care about dead Russians either.

He is the only one of these warmongering globalists here. Should have just not invaded and there would be no killing.

Ukraine surrendering wouldn’t stop the killing. At every place Ukraine has liberated we see mass graves of tortured people.

Russian occupation is not peace. It is mass killing and torture with slave- and re-education camps. That has always been the Russian way.

As of this morning, Ukraine is history, let them surrender or be defeated. Europe and NATO must shift immediate focus to Turkey, which need’s immediately rescue efforts and help. Bye Ukraine.

Curious what do you mean? Ukraine should not be saved, but we MUST help Turkey? How and why?

Should have just not invaded and there would be no killing. Kennedy should have let the USSR put ballistic nukes in Cuba, too I suppose?

Also, the Ukrainians were shelling the Donbass for 8 years before Putin invaded. There was lots of killing going on, mostly Russian ethnic civilians. I believe independent observers put the number at around 20,000.

Ukraine is a corrupt state, not an ally, but simply a big drain upon our resources. Turkey is a long-time ally, NATO member, and host of American bases. We cannot ignore them and keep focus on undeserving Ukraine, nor can we afford both. All aid to Ukraine should end now, maybe Biden asks Trump to meet with both parties to secure a ceasefire?

I am fascinated by the people here on FR and elsewhere who claim that Russia is the victim here? That a corrupt country run by KGB who’s head “ religious “ figure is KGB, who invaded a sovereign country, who thought they could roll over Ukraine but failed because of their massive corruption and fantasies of abilities, who rape and loot like “good” liberators, who have reigned death and destruction on these people they call their brothers and fellow countrymen and all of this was caused by some fantasy that west was going to attack them and all would be fine if Ukraine had just given up. Sure paging the 1930s. If only we had let hitler have what he wanted no death and destruction well at least for most
I make no claim to know wha all is going on, but those here who claim that Russia has the moral high ground, Russia’s losses are exaggerated (that’s why they are mobilizing a million additional troops and pulling T-62s out of boneyard) and are justified in laying waste to civilian and civilian infrastructure I guess in the name of peace are as mad as putin.

Russia may yet”win” and I guess they will cheer that the destruction of Ukraine has saved the world. That a more corrupt nation has defeated a less corrupt nation is a moral and holy victory
Sigh

What threat is there to Turkey? I assume by mentioning NATO and Turkey you are saying what Russia will now attack Turkey and article 5 will be invoked?
Confused

Turkey had a terrible earthquake and needs help, but I don’t see how this means Ukraine must be abandoned.

So Russia invades Crimea and Donbas with his little green men, Ukraine fights back for its sovereignty and like now it is Ukraine’s fault not Russia? Who is/was supporting militarily Donbas but that was okay and the west supporting Ukraine now is wrong?
Putin has always said Ukraine is not a county, well I guess I can say that Russia is not a county too. Just because putin or I say it does
Not make it so
