Let’s get a tally of the expense of shooting these last 4 (or is it 5 now????) “objects” so far. Sidewinder missiles $400K a piece. No less expensive way to take these down? Don’t we have drones that can intercept this without launching a missile at it? Was watching Battle Bots earlier, and those guys could build something less than $400k to take care of this.
I know right! We have spottings/following objects and shooting down objects. No clue if they are all the same or are we spotting more than we are shooting down?
I read that normally they have filters in place for monitoring systems to block out white noise but they removed those filters after the Chinese spy balloon. My guess is that this is why they are suddenly picking up all these things. So, to answer your question, yes!
Maybe, but probably giving intelligence where it isn’t due, but maybe we learned something from the wreckage of the first balloon which revealed what they were doing and thus the discovery and disposal of these “fleet” vehicles. Probably wishful thinking though.
So we won’t establish a No Fly zone over Ukraine for fear of provoking Russia but we’ll shoot down potential interstellar spacecraft?
I doubt these are ETs. They have demonstrated capabilities that we have no defense against.
