Scarborough: Republican Party Is ‘Allowing’ Mass Shootings to Happen in America
Breitbart ^ | 02-14-2023 | Pam Key

Posted on 02/14/2023 12:08:09 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Tuesday on his show “Morning Joe” that Republican Party is to blame for mass shootings while reacting to a mass shooting in East Lansing, MI on the campus of Michigan State University.

Scarborough said, “What’s wrong with the country? More specifically, what’s wrong with state legislatures? What’s wrong with governors? What’s wrong with members of Congress? What’s wrong with elected leaders? They don’t do everything that they can to stop mass shootings in America. This does not happen in other industrialized nations.”

Co-host Mika Brzezinski said, “This is an American problem.”

no... that would be the Democratic party that allows mass shootings to happen by refusing to imprison criminals!

Guns don’t kill people, criminals do!

Their opening gambit is slander and nothing they say can ever be taken at face value.

Do we really need to show this clown where the vast majority of these “mass shootings” happen?

Joe, mentally ill people killing other people is going to happen, get used to it.

People are going die from complications around a virus as well, get used to it.

The media is going to lie to the America people, accept it.

Men and women are different, accept it.

I wonder if Joe Scarborough is transitioning to female because he certainly has lost his balls, maybe Mike just has them totally in a vice grip and refuses to let them go.

Exactly how mass shootings in the U.S. compare to those in other countries is a highly disputed subject. In a widely publicized study originally released in 2015, the nonprofit Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) compared the annual number of mass shooting deaths per million people in the U.S. to that of Canada and several European countries from 2009 to 2015. The result? Norway led the world with 1.88 deaths per million, followed by Serbia, France, and Macedonia. Where did the U.S. rank? 11th place.

Average (Mean) Annual Death Rate per Million People from Mass Public Shootings (U.S., Canada, and Europe, 2009-2015):

Norway — 1.888
Serbia — 0.381
France — 0.347
Macedonia — 0.337
Albania — 0.206
Slovakia — 0.185
Switzerland — 0.142
Finland — 0.132
Belgium — 0.128
Czech Republic — 0.123
United States — 0.089
Austria — 0.068
Netherlands — 0.051
Canada — 0.032
England — 0.027
Germany — 0.023
Russia — 0.012
Italy — 0.009

In addition, a 2018 CRPC study ranked the U.S. at number sixty-four in the world in terms of mass shooting rates per capita.

A question. Why out of all the infinite talking heads left and right does Joe Scarborough get posted all the time? I think maybe he has more posts devoted to tracking whatever offhand comment he’s making at the moment than any other political commentator of any political position or at least he’s up there. Is it because he used to be Republican? Does the poster think he has unusually good points? Or maybe bad ones that are laughable? Is he a snappy dresser? Really weird.

Most "gun crime" is committed by individuals of a certain racial group, who by law are forbidden to own firearms because of past criminal convictions.

Poor Joe, no laws will prevent these killers from doing what they do. And you cannot collectively blame and punish half the country for the actions of one person. We are not a fascist country, we don’t do that.

Thought it was the fault of guns Joe, why we needed gun control, right?

So now it’s the fault of the Republicans? Huh Joe? So you think maybe we need Republican control? Thought your side had that under control already with hackable machines, mail-in ballots, and what not.

Guess Joe figured he had to take a break from praising Nikki, Tim Scott, Mitt, Sununu, Murkowski, and Christie.

I think it’s because he used to be a Republican, so the liberals will say, look, even a conservative type such as Joe S. agrees with the liberal view of whatever issue is being discussed.

Analyze the shooter, not the gun. Figure out what causes them to act that way. Were they brought up in a single parent family with no discipline, no respect for the law or education, etc.
