How many rounds did those old Tommy Gun Magazines hold? So, I looked it up:
The Thompson submachine gun ("Tommy gun") used a drum magazine in its classic form, but the drum magazines for this weapon were abandoned on the World War II models.8 The M1921 Thompsons could accommodate either 20-round box magazines or 50-round cylindrical drum magazines; the latter were known as "L drums" because "L" is the Latin numeral for 50.9 A 100-round "C drum" magazine (the letter standing for the Roman numeral for 100) was available, but weighed more than eight pounds and pushed the total weight of the gun to almost 20 pounds (9.1 kg).9 The M1928 Navy and M1928A1 variants, used by the US Navy and US Marine Corps, could also accept drum magazines, but standard box magazines were more popular due to the drum magazines' weight and tendency to jam.10

When it comes time to confront a tyrannical government, the “rationale” will become exceedingly obvious.

Biden said, “I’m going to say something that’s always controversial, but there is no rationale for assault weapons and magazines that hold 50, 70 bullets.” Hmmm, has Mister Biden or any of the Dems ever defined "assault weapon"? It would be helpful to our polite and respectful discussion if they did so. They should be able to define the term in one brief and concise sentence.

I wouldn’t want anything more than a 30 rd mag. With that said, I have 10 loaded right now, just in case I wanna terrorize a school...sarcasm off now. I really only have one and it holds 7 rounds, like Gov Inslee wants.

Can we get a “drum roll” for Mr. Biden. I’ve got 10-round shotgun mags, 30-round 9mm mags, 60 round 9mm mag.
Almost as good as a 21 Gun Salute - the New American Drum Roll.

What’s the rationale for a demented grifter like Joe Biden being President?
To: ChicagoConservative27
While the 2nd A says nothing about any restrictions on firearms, does anyone who really knows about guns know of magazines with that capacity being available? I can’t remember know what the large magazine that was made for the M-15’s capacity was. I just remember some soldiers taping two together so they could be rapidly changed.

The legitimate rational for such magazines is that anything more is approaching belt-fed quantities.
