Natural immunity is no doubt better than the vax but Covid mutates so quickly that I’m not sure your natural immunity will stay effective for long. The fast mutation also puts the possibility of herd immunity in doubt. It may be that vitamin D, zinc, and maybe Ivermectin given early are your best bet. And I’m still appalled at the medical establishment’s total lack of interest in reducing comorbidities, especially obesity.
I had COVID Dec ‘20.
I got it again last Dec.
2 years’ immunity?
They’ve told us 3 months for years (my Hopkins COVID unit niece said so early, just before I got it that first).
I can’t vouch for that, but I did fail to get COVID last summer when my cousins brought it from Germany to her parents home, where my mom was convalescing and I was visiting. My son was with me; all 3 of us “visitors” had it back in ‘20, and none of us got it from staying with the sick for a bit - it hit all 4 of those residents.
I will be honest, I am not sure how long the antibodies are effective.
Neither is the ones running the study. It isn’t universal. I didn’t get the vax or a second dose of covid, but some have. I have had a number of confirmed exposure incidents because of my work. But no repeat cases. (Confirmed as someone I was working closely by got it, had symptoms, and was probably contagious when I was by them). For most I had multiple tests until, well, the last one I didn’t bother.
Also, every one on my Dad’s side of the family, going back to to my grandmother’s (my Dad’s Mom) family, had very minor cases.
Our spouses not so minor at times.
My doc told me she suspects it has more to do with our genetics and lifestyles.
Just got a test today as part of my blood draw. Will know in a few days if I have a titer still.
