President Joe Biden and his supporters in Congress are positioning themselves as the protectors of entitlement programs, especially Social Security and Medicare. "So tonight, let’s all agree to stand up for seniors," he said in the State of the Union address.
"Stand up and show them we will not cut Social Security. We will not cut Medicare."
Notwithstanding the fact that the Biden administration is spending us into the poor house — making long-term entitlement appropriations impossible — but Biden is indeed planning a Medicare cut. And in the worst possible area of the program: Medicare Advantage.

is an obvious accusation that boomers voted for democrats. That’s why several people pointed out that they are boomers and never voted democrat. If you don’t mean it, don’t say it. And don’t try to give some unintelligible excuse like this:

Yes, ingredients of both generic and name brand prescriptions frequently are made in China and sometimes components in a combo drug (such as the acetaminophen part combined with an opiate).
Not sure how you state it is an accusation. Clearly some boomers voted for democrats and those that did are 100% responsible for where we are.

The 1950s and 1960s had HUGE Democratic majorities in Congress. And, Republicans for the most part voted for Medicare, which has taken 60 years to destroy our system - but the work of destruction is almost finished.
And who STILL at this very late hour will not say what a grave mistake it was and what needs to be done to fix it?
It's a debate whether or not boomers built it but it's not up for debate who allowed the destruction.

The driving force was unelected DC and the WEF. Elected Democrats openly pushed, cajoled and underhandedly steered us here under the guise of saving us, by bringing in more taxpayers. Except they must have known letting in the poorest and handing them freebies will turn them into takers.
Then you have the Republicans who want to serve the Chamber of Commerce, and stay in power instead of serving We the People.
I am pretty clear where the blame lies, beside with the voters who allowed it or voted for it. Really, there is no peaceful way out. There must be a blood letting. The opposing side will kill to keep us on this path, will we do the same to get back our Constitutional Republic?
My money was confiscated - stolen- whatever. the government still has a contract with me and they need to hold to it. It is not welfare when one pays what one owes by contractual obligation. But if you insist looking at it your way the. the government owes me restitution for stolen goods. i’ll take what they have stolen from me plus a reasonable interest rate over the last 45 years. But the social security payments I will get will be much less than that.
You just admitted the government has already broken that contract with you by having payments that are much less then a reasonable interest rate would have provided. Current payers will get much less than you if get anything at all.
This is reason enough to get rid of it.
