Media covering for Democrats sitting on 'stolen' FTX money because they are also recipients of it: Greenwald

Politicians and liberal media outlets on the receiving end of FTX donations and grants are sitting on "stolen" money, journalist Glenn Greenwald said Tuesday, urging them to return the funds given to them as a result of a "Ponzi scheme" that impacted an estimated one million customers.

"Everyone knows, including these politicians, that it is not their money," Greenwald said on "Tucker Carlson Tonight." "That money was stolen. It was a Ponzi scheme and people are without their money while these politicians keep the money that doesn’t belong to them."

Greenwald is right. It was a Ponzi scheme and the media was in on it. I can't count the number of fluff stories the financial media, including the WSJ, published on Bankman-Fried and FTX, even after he was arrested. "He was a philanthropist and supporter good causes!"

What about claw-back provisions? Seems fraud was involved and that this tool could be applied to recover monies for those defrauded. Probably wouldn’t do any good against Congress members because they probably exempted themselves from those provisions.

But nobody really cares. There is no amount of corruption that will cause outrage. The public is passive and apathetic.

We are a kleptocracy now.

The FTX scandal is prompting lawmakers from both parties to symbolically give up campaign contributions from the crypto exchange’s top executives, underscoring the firm’s political toxicity in the aftermath of its collapse.

Campaigns for Reps. Chuy García (D-Ill.) and Kevin Hern (R-Okla.) have given local charities money equal to the amount they received from FTX leaders, according to their spokespeople.

I just read on Twitter that all charges have been dropped against Bankman?

(Maxine Waters and lots of others were involved.)
Can’t confirm it anywhere else?😠

“I just read on Twitter that all charges have been dropped against Bankman?”

I’ve heard that several of the charges (maybe five out the total thirteen) have been dropped. But, I haven’t heard that they have ALL been dismissed.
