The idea of a big breakfast was foisted on us by the processed food industry who wanted to sell sugary cereal and it's a big part of why Americans are so fat.

Yes. This is what I have read, from years ago. Despite some who say big breakfast was always around. All it takes is a couple generations and people think the status quo has always been around, and the old status quo is forgotten. Processed food industry foisted this idea of big breakfast upon the American public in order to sell breakfast cereals. Not only that, but sugary foods and drinks that have made Americans fat.

Yep, the idea of 3 meals a day is a rather new concept. Many are now going to “One Meal A Day”.
