"When we elected this government, they promised to raise salaries and pensions, but so far we haven't seen a penny," she says.
Sunday's protests, organised by Moldova's pro-Russian Sor party, are being closely watched by governments across Europe and beyond. Most protesters travelled to the capital city Chisinau by bus, with their costs reportedly covered by the Sor party.
Moldova, strategically located on the border with Ukraine, and harbouring its own pro-Russian breakaway region, is dependent on Russian gas.

It should go to Romania, or back to Turkey.
The border changes after this is all done (if humanity survives) will be amazing.

When this is over, at the settlement conference, I don't think Moldova will have much input.
Now before you go "WTH?" like I did the first time I saw them, I'll share why they are so funky: It can get freaking cold there and they understandably like fat sheepskin gloves with the fleece on the inside. So you need plenty of room to keep from singing those gloves -- and, you can't stand to stand outside long enough to smoke for more than a couple of minutes. Hence the weird long cardboard tube and short bit containing the tobacco.

It’s a shame Ben won’t be doing anymore videos from the former Soviet Union. His latest video that came out this week is from Peru.
Remember, that during Soviet times, a good proportion of those jobs were related to the defense industry. So naturally, with the fall of the Soviet Union, those jobs went away, and were never replaced.

Since the rest of the Moldovans, the sensible ones, don’t want Russia to come, why don’t you protestor morons move to Russia? Win-win all the way around then.

I think they should go on into Russia in order to avoid destruction in their own nation. If you want to fight, go fight. Don’t wait for them to make the first move. Enjoy yourselves.
