I use to have all Dahl’s books. Making sure I go to book sales and get copies of them. Next thing you know someone is going to complain about the smile on the Mona Lisa, and paint over it. No difference, his works are masterpieces in child literature.
Mona Lisa’s smile might be taken to be making fun of someone, and who knows what traumas that could trigger?
A modest proposal — publish books as they were written, and let people decide whether or not they want to buy and read them.
