I've traded stocks for many years now...I do not own a 401K,,,or anything like that. I pay short term cap gains...most of the time. Costs me around 43% per profitable trade...Feds/State taxes.

I talk to like minded people...about 5 or 6. We all joke about Cramer...Do the opposite of him!!!

There is a Cramer Contrarian club that does just that, the opposite of his recommendations. They have consistently beaten him.

Everybody advising in the trading game is selling something. They seem to all have some kind of bias or vested interest. At tleast the ones I see do.

43% is a lot. I don’t take that kind of risk for uncle sugar to get that kind of ride. A lot will tell you profit is the name of the game and not to pay attention to taxes. When they ride my gains but limit the “benefits” of my losses it just doesn’t taste right. To each his own of course.
