Black folks do love their seafood.
About 10 years ago a new oyster bar opened up in my area so we’d go there occasionally.
After about the 3rd or 4th visit noticed a new sign behind the shockers bar
“18% TIP WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ADDED TO ALL BILLS”
I asked our shucker about it, he said that didn’t pertain to us it was for the “urban minorities” that consistently refuse to tip.
A lot of ‘em believe EVERYTHING is supposed be free for them.....because, you know.....this is a racist country built on the backs of their slave ancestors.
I say that in 100% seriousness.......I’ve heard it said.
Shucker not shocker
Saw that at a sushi place in Ft Lauderdale once, the Heart Rock Cafe.
A large group of large Amish women, office workers by the look, came in, made substitutions, changed their orders repeatedly, sent stuff back and were noisy, demanding, pains.
The manager or owner, an Asian woman, locked the door and let people in/out one at a time, no dine and dash that time.
Of course, no tips were left.
Back in the 1990's, a programming group I worked in had a black female. When we went out to restaurants for group outings, she consistently shorted us on the tab, saying she never pays for tips. That lasted for a few outings, and the rest of us soon dropped her from joining the rest of us. No one liked being around her, with her cheap attitude. I worked with other blacks in other jobs and they weren't like that.
