Yes, but the current required to charge your phone electromagnetically is orders of magnitude less than charging an EV, right? There might be other ways to charge an EV, but it seems like carrying charging cables would be the most practical. Which is probably why EV chargers currently use cables.

We have 50,000 watt radio transmitters.

Drive over one of those buried antenna and charge up REALLY fast!
