I absolutely deplore the neo-Stalinist Putin pooches who have swarmed FR, but I agree with this. The best possible outcome is that Russia keep Crimea and normalize their status in previously held regions in Donetsk and Luhansk, but at such an astounding cost that they never get adventurous again.

I think the likely result of all this is that Russia keeps Crimea but nothing else.
