Gov. Maura Healey tore into Ron DeSantis, saying the Florida leader’s stances on education have been “really shameful,” particularly his controversial “Don’t Say Gay” law, which the nation’s first openly-lesbian governor described as nonsense.
In a Thursday interview on GBH’s Boston Public Radio, Healey said she would support Democrat President Joe Biden if he were to run for another term. She also characterized Gov. DeSantis, a possible 2024 Republican presidential candidate, as someone who wants to take the country “backwards.”
“The idea of punishing, you know, punishing people for some of the things that he talks about,” Healey said. “This whole Don’t Say Gay nonsense, his positions around education, the canceling of coursework on African-American history.
Healey, a Democrat, was referring to Florida’s controversial law that prohibits teaching and discussion related to sexual orientation and gender identity in K-3 public school classrooms — and later grades if this content is taught in a manner that is not age-appropriate.

The left is still going with the “Don’t Say Gay” narrative, when all the law does is keep teachers from teaching 5 to 9 year-old children explicit sexual material. That narrative push by Disney is what caused their stock price to go from $180.00 per share down to around $85.00 in about a 18 months. Disney stock price has pulled up from that low, but still remains below a hundred bucks and hasn’t paid a divided in three years.
Keep it up progressives! Your lies are being revealed! Schools and businesses are starting to realize if they want to continue getting the dollars, they are going to have to appeal to the normal folks.
The normal folks do not want their innocent sons and daughters corrupted by the sexual predators of the left!

Such a law doesn't exist. Another lie from the press that they will continue into perpetuity, apparently.
And the governor of Massachusetts is also angry that children won't be lied to about American history and also that they will not be exposed to sexually explicit materials. Some state that would elect someone like that.
