I think there is also a sociological aspect to my position as well. The reason in Western society why almost every male is now Milhouse, from the Simpsons, is because they never learned the necessity of competing. That is why, in almost every Western society, the males run away instead of standing up for themselves when they are challenged by aggressors. It’s why, in many cases, Western women go out with the aggressors. They find their own Western men highly unattractive.
Roughly 30 years ago feminists were aggressively pushing pre-puberty male vs female competition for children, I assumed that it had something to do with the developmental imprinting of boys getting beaten by girls for a few years, similar to the psychology of why the cross-dressers want to expose the children to their culture, it imprints them and affects their adult views and judgment.
I’m not with you on cause, but the underlying pathology you describe is probably correct. (And women have always had a weakness for “bad boys”. I would guess that is evolutionary, as they by contrast more often settle down longer term with the more reliable good boys, if you will.)
