I wonder what would happen if States tried to leave the union today.

History tells us that President Lincoln compelled the southern states to stay in the Union, and used military force to do so.

There are constitutional provisions for states to enter the union, but there is no constitutional provision for states to leave the union.

any state can leave the union, if they can prevent from being dragged back in...

texas won’t be able to, but if any state had a shot, i’d say it was texas.

IIRC-—Texas agreed to COME BACK into The Union WITH THE PROVISO THAT THEY COULD LEAVE AGAIN AT ANY TIME-—WITHOUT APPROVAL OF THE UNION.......
