Banks don’t need any prompting from fedzilla to spy and snitch on their customers. They do it willingly. All bank employees who deal directly with customers are trained to get to know the customers so the employees can report any behavior they think is “unusual.”

It’s not a new thing either.

I live in Illinois and in 2008, I was traveling through Missouri and I stopped and bought ten cartons of cigarettes and saved around around $80. Dummy me paid with a credit card. I got a bill later from Illinois Department of Revenue for the tax difference.. Only one way they knew that I bought those cigarettes.
