Kidnapped Ukrainian children are being sent to Russian “re-education” camps — where they are kept in prison-like conditions, forced to watch Russian propaganda, beaten and subjected to sexual violence, according to parents and activists.
Inessa Vertash, 43, hasn’t seen her 15-year-old son, Vitaliy, in five months — ever since he left on what was supposed to be a two-week trip to a camp at the urging of his school teacher.
It was billed as a retreat to escape the fighting.
“I told her I wanted to think about it but she said there’s nothing to think about, they were leaving the next day and would get food five times a day and why would you keep him here where there are bombs and missiles?,” the distressed mother told the Sunday Times.
After the two weeks were up, the teen was moved to another camp, which he likened to a prison.
Vertash told the Times that her son called her crying and described his harrowing living conditions.
“There were no sheets on the beds, they were made to wear clothes of old people, given food only fit for pigs and beaten if they didn’t sing the Russian anthem,” the mom recounted.
Even more alarmingly, Vitaliy told his mother that Russian camp workers were forcing 13-year-old Ukrainian girls to have sex with them.

I thought the same. His hands are so clean...not a spot...his jacket, too.
You won’t get another brain for believing it though.
Who gave his story to the post? Was it verified in any way? It seems to be a propaganda piece. It doesn’t pass the smell test.
"Trading places?" Funny, that. And for one dollar, Duke or Biden, Pelosi, Romney and Kerry.
So...Ukrainians sent their kids to a Russian summer camp, in Russia, after the war started?
What am I missing?
That’s Germany
It's winter, with no snow around.
“Vitaliy told his mother that Russian camp workers were forcing 13-year-old Ukrainian girls to have sex with them.”
He’s lucky the guards aren’t raping the boys, because that’s what guards do in the adult prisons in Russia.
There’s a few Zeepers here who could use a ‘vacation’ at one of these places.
“What am I missing?”
You’re missing that they were from the portion of Ukraine occupied by the Russians that is an active war zone.
Do you think the children are in Russian hands?
Filtration is going to be one snag on anything peaceful there. Using children as bargaining chips or as future troops simply makes peace in the future impossible. It simply makes any deal with today’s generations broken by the next.
This is why Marxism has been so powerful, because of recruiting and infecting of this type through an “ancestor” curse system not unlike the one found in witchcraft in Africa or exposed in Christ’s crucifiction
Nothing beats US schools, where they now drug kids to get them ready to have their twangs cut off.
...but I guess that doesn’t bother the NY Post.

This article presents the Biden/EU/LGBT side. Now we need to hear the Russian side of the story — which may never be heard because of our woke media.
Holodomor Part II
Did the Ruskys ever consult with Michelle-O over nutritional and psychological education policy?
I didn’t read the article before posting the comment above, expressing my skepticism.
Then I followed “Worldtraveler once upon a time”, #19’s recommendation to read both article and reader’s comments following.
Excellent advice! I’m going to try it from now on!
As other posters noted, the kids not in refugee shelters as in the first photo—and even she and her brother seem well supplied with bedding and clothing— appear clean, well dressed and content. This puts the lie to every claim in the article.
It seems that a humanitarian effort to protect children from war-ravaged areas has been transformed into a crime against humanity.
The magic of journalism.

Zelensky’s regime can deny its involvement in the Nord Stream pipeline terrorist attack all it wants—but it won’t matter.
Clearly, a very strong faction of the Deep State wants to blame UA so the West can pull out of the Ukraine disaster.
