WWE is in talks with state gambling regulators in Colorado and Michigan to legalize betting on high-profile matches, according to people familiar with the matter.
WWE is working with the accounting firm EY to secure scripted match results in hopes it will convince regulators there’s no chance of results leaking to the public, said the people, who asked not to be named because the discussions are private. Accounting firms PwC and EY, also known as Ernst & Young, have historically worked with award shows, including the Academy Awards and the Emmys, to keep results a secret.

Well, there’s a problem: the outcomes are scripted, sure, but those scripts change a lot more than bookers care to admit. Can you imagine a few million bet on what ended up being the Montreal Screwjob? lol
This will not end well.
Well, they allow betting on political contests and those are rigged.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the outcome of many sporting events isn’t predetermined....not a bit......I guarantee it’s happened since the 1919 World Series

Why not add betting to how movies are going to end as well?

No chance anyone affiliated with pro wrestling would ever leak results.
I stopped watching sports after the Hee Hawaks lost to the Steelers in super bowl what ever.
More fun to watch local kids play.

Would not be much difference b/t pro wrestling matches and pro football games. Wrestling has long been recognized as being chorerographed and, in recent years, it is obvious the outcomes in pro football games is being ever-more managed.

Why not have people bet on scripted WWE matches? People already bet on scripted NBA, NFL, and MLB games.
