Perhaps a very well compensated and bribed and thus compromised “useful idiot” meat puppet, but a puppet and nothing more.
He isn’t that smart, but can lie, cheat and plagiarize with the most evil of them all.

He’s a fractious, obstreperous and willful child-bully. I don’t think his investors appreciated that side of him, obscure beneath his slimy false ‘old joe’ humility. All the while it seems he was secretly nurturing his cherished grudges.
Now he sits his perch and looks down on — excluding the Chinese— his minders holding the other end of his chain. He will do what he damn-well pleases.
They are pragmatic as well as corrupt. They never expected that his stupidity would combine with his defiance and detonate. I can’t believe they expected the colossal disgrace of the Afghan Skedaddle, or the Ukraine Ballet and Cold War III.
