Here at FR, Putin and his invasion of Ukraine get a 35-40% positive rating. Some here are ecstatic over fake Tsar Vlad, to deliver them from the WEF and globobhomo.

thanks Dennis. No doubt we’re fighting a multi-front war.

To say the critics of your ignorance are de facto antagonists?

So many Zelensky/Biden/Uniparty apologists!

If I ask a certain group that I know doesn’t like the above mentioned people I will get a similar response about them.

Never trust polls and never trust Zelensky apologists.

so invading a sovereign country for no reason, trying to illegally annex their land, and bombing apartment buildings and schools with hypersonic missiles DOESN’T win public support ... huh ...

who could possibly have seen this coming?!

Russia enjoys a lot of soft power among conspiracy mongers and those with heavy grievances. Russia’s state ideology is a version of a Cultural Marxist Grievance Theory, where you are innocent, deserve all the best things and are being “systematically oppressed”.

That’s why you mostly find those shilling for Russia hold deep grievances of their own. Col. MacGregor believes he should have been a general. Scott Ritter believes he shouldn’t have been in jail - same with their other propagandist Russell Bentley.

Russia tells them a message that they like - it’s not your fault - you’re not responsible for your misfortune because you’re being systematically oppressed.

More importantly, what is the US approval rating in fence countries, like Brazil and India? Those statistics will shape the next 25 years.

During the Cold War, non-Western countries were friendly or at least neutral to the US. Everone hated the USSR, even China. Russia had two friends: Cuba and North Korea. Now the roles are reversed. Everyone is friendly or neutral to Russia. Non-western countries despise US.

The only countries voting in the UN with Russia are Armenia, Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela and Zimbabwe.

It’s the same loser commie set + Armenia. Armenia is just very unlucky because the only two friends they have in the region are Russia and Iran.

well except Putin, he’s dumber

Russia WAS already the World’s largest country (more than twice as large as Canada or the US!), trusted by most of Europe, and had the hard foreign currency rolling in by supplying 40% of Europe’s natural gas ... all Putin had to do was sit on his ass and Russia would continue to grow ...

instead, he throws it all away with this idiotic, unnecessary gamble on blood & conquest, and now his army is bogged-down in a fight it cannot win, with the good-times revenues cut off, nobody trusting Russia anymore, and the country internationally isolated ...

it takes a special kind of stupid to screw that all that up ... but that is now Putin’s legacy ...

“invading a sovereign country for no reason”

Russia had the same right to come to the aid of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Luhansk People’s Republic, which I believe declared independence from Ukraine about 24 years after Ukraine unilaterally declared independence from the Soviet Union, as France had to help Massachusetts and Virginia in 1778. The American states declared independence in 1776.

There were Russian passport holders that were attacked by Ukrainian forces prior to January 2022 I believe.

Ukraine has long been a member of the UN, even when part of the Soviet Union. The country status of Ukraine has been fuzzy.

Ukraine unilaterally declared independence after the Czar was deposed. It was an independent country for a few years before being rejoined to Russia.

There are about 25 million ethnic Russian living in countries formed out of the Soviet Union that are not part of the Russian Federation. These ethnic Russians sometime have prime jobs Ukrainians and others want.

The Soviet Union breakup understanding probably was nondiscrimination.

Putin wants such an understanding to remain in force and not 25 million Russian refugees cramming into Moscow and St. Petersburg.

In 1957 Eisenhower sent federal troops into Little Rock to end discrimination.
