President Trump has called on supporters to protest his expected arrest next week by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on bogus charges arising out of the alleged 2016 Stormy Daniels hush money arrangement. Several so-called influencers are warning supporters to stay home to avoid being entrapped by the feds into another January 6 riot.
As one of the most experienced conservative street activists who was active in our Nation’s Capital for over a decade, I want to offer my advice on whether to go out and protest (yes) and how to do it.
First, some background. I was active in the D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com from 1998 into the early 2010s, but mostly through the end of 2007 when I left the area and returned a few times a year. I organized hundreds of street protests and counter-protests against President Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore and other corrupt Democrat politicians. I organized an annual protest of liberal media bias outside the White House Correspondents Dinner for about fifteen years. Through Free Republic, Move America Forward and the Gathering of Eagles, we organized several rallies and counter-rallies supporting our troops in the war on terror in the years after 9/11. On a few occasions, we acted as human shields against the violent left and radical Islamists, protecting The White House, the Danish Embassy, Armed Forces Recruiting stations and even the Washington Post. I also helped organize the FReeper inaugural ball in 2005 attended by nearly 1,000 guests or so.
We dealt with D.C. Police, Capitol Police, Park Police, Secret Service, various other federal law enforcement agencies and the military in demonstrations at the White House, Capitol, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the National Mall, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Arlington Cemetery, the old Walter Reed Army Hospital, the Vice President’s Residence, aka “Cheney’s House”, and many locales in and around D.C.
We faced off against communists, anarchists, Black Bloc (pre-Antifa), Code Pink, ANSWER, radical Islamists, Democrats, RINOs, dishonest media and the Westboro Baptist Church extremists.
We did all that by being peaceful and behaving in a civilized manner at all times. We hade a code of conduct that served us well.
Briefly, it read, “No violence, no racism, no profanity, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.”

They effectively have countered the constitutional right to peaceably assemble, haven’t they with their violent stooges and plants at peaceable protests.
This is the big story.

No matter how disciplined, well behaved and non-violent the actual Pro-Trumpers will be, the Left/FBI/Antifa infiltrators will false flag it into another “violent insurrection” they can ride all the way to the 2024 election and beyond.

Your right to protest peacefully is over because the left has taken it away by having your peaceful protest infiltrated by the FIBs and antifa in order to cause a riot in which you will be arrested and stuffed in a gulag without a speedy trial.
This is what happens when we let them steal the WH and get away with it. Now they run the whole system with injustice.
Yes, I helped lead a contingent of Freepers to Tallahassee for several days in 2020, to protest the Bush/Gore recount. I made several large protest signs using real estate yard signs, then used some cool software to print out large pictures made of some of the images that Freeper Registered had made like Sore Looserman and Kangaroo Court. Those signs ended up in photos of us on the front page of UsA Today and other newspapers, and ultimately ended up in the Florida State Museum.
And I considered going to J6 but knew better. The votes were already decided, so it was going to inevitably break out into anger and fights with police, and lots of people going to jail. Cost/benefit was clearly not worth it, and I began to more clearly see how Trump’s vanity corrupts his judgement, and puts the conservative movement at risk. I’m not even convinced he will even be arrested Tuesday, either, so far all we have is Trump claiming it, when supposedly the grand jury hasn’t even voted to indict yet or not. But feel free to book your tickets if that’s what’s important to you. Just don’t be surprised if only a few nutcases show up.
It pains me every year that nothing happens on April 15th. I miss being present around so many, so so many good people. It's much more impactful to be around all of you people in real life, than just on the forum. Having good laughs, shaking hands, sharing ideas and information, even some singing. We're not meant to be digital whiners.
A decade ago we were so successful, and haven't been as successful as that since. It's now the gold standard. I will say, I have huge applause for the March for Life. After so many decades, they found success too. That's what happens when you don't give in and give up. When your cause is righteous and you stand, you win.
Every year we refuse to protest we are making a grave, grave mistake.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; ---> or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, <--- and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
We fail to act like our Founders. ^^^ This. ^^^ These are instructions that the Founders gave to us.
"Go do it. Go speak freely. Go petition your government for redress. Go protest."
This is the behavior of free people. We're not listening. We do not behave like a free people should behave with such obvious role models as these to follow, these Founders of ours. April 15th is less than 30 days away now. All those DTOM flags are just collecting dust, or worse,

I think he was a good President back in 2017 and 2018 but he’s not someone I would protest for now.
