Kryuchkov: all drones shot down over Dzhankoy were aimed at civilian targets

MOSCOW, March 21-RIA Novosti. All drones shot down over Dzhankoy aimed at civilian objects and were stuffed with shrapnel, Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of Crimea, said on his Telegram channel.

Chinese made drones (or critical parts thereof) purchased and assembled by Ukraine, with sufficient range (200km+) to reach Crimea.

Note also these things penetrated Russian air defenses in occupied Kherson/Zaporozhia.

These look very similar to the Iranian Shahid, in capability anyway. Something relatively new.

While being transported by rail, an unspecified number of Russian Kalibr cruise missiles was destroyed in several explosions in occupied Dzhankoi, Crimea, Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence press service said on March 20. The message stopped short of saying that Ukraine was behind the apparent attack.

The report notes that Kalibr missiles are launched by Russian Black Sea Fleet ships, capable of reaching any target across Ukraine.

On March 20, local Telegram channels reported a series of explosions and gunfire in Dzhankoi, posting video footage of large blasts occurring in the vicinity of the local railway station. Russian occupational “authorities” announced that "air defense is working " and that some "wreckage" ostensibly "damaged a household and a store." The so-called head of the administration of Dzhankoi complained about the "incoming (enemy) drones."

Earlier, Defense Intelligence spokesman Andriy Yusov said that Russia has only 7% of its Kalibr missile stockpile left, having spent most of them in numerous air strikes at Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.
