That is an exaggeration but I think he was a little too slow and nuanced with the Trump arrest thing. It will hurt him because it is such an outrage that a delayed measured response is not going over well with the base. Especially when so many fair weather Rino’s like Linda come out hard on it. Even Pence came out on it.
Whatever damage he has done to himself will be forgotten in a month or two except from the hard core MAGA voter who has the Trump or no one mentality.
