The Oregon House of Representatives on Wednesday approved a $200 million funding package to address homelessness and boost affordable housing, passing it with widespread bipartisan support.

The bulk of the package, $130 million, fulfills Gov. Tina Kotek's request for an immediate influx of funding to begin addressing unsheltered homelessness in much of the state.

“Address homelessness”, haha great pun, Tina Kotex you funny marxist dyke!

Maybe we can get our governor to bus our “unhoused” to Tina’s address so she can pay ‘em.

The liberal bleeding hearts will never admit that quite a few of the "homeless" are that way because they don't want a structured home environment.

I've known a few of them, some very intelligent. They seriously like "camping out" for life. It's their idea of freedom. They're like the hoboes of years past, and they have no desire for society to change them.

“All you can eat” opioid smorgasbord on every corner! That might bring the numbers down.

Kotex, like most democommies, is an idiot. As are those that passed this bipartisan load. Did they consider a lot of the homeless don’t want put in “the system”? Which at times looks good. They seem to have cell phones, booze, drugs and cigs. I know some are there by circumstance. Many of us could be.

I went to a church that changed its mission from being a non-partisan place of worship to a mission for the homeless.

Stayed for several years. We didn’t make any difference. They wanted to live that way and would just look at you as a sucker who fed them once a week on their homeless circuit.

Sunday night the Episcopal Church, Monday the Methodist, Tuesday and Thursday was Church of God in Christ. Our turn was Sunday breakfast.

I left because I got tired of being taken advantage of, and so did many other people.

Oregon is only going to make the problem worse. That’s why they say don’t feed wild animals, then they become dependent on humans for food rather than getting their own.

Most of the homeless are simplybdrugged-addled. They would rather die high than be clean and functional.

.
This only happens because the Senate and House dump hundreds of billions on these States and municipalities - every single year.

Take away the Federal Dump of Tax dollars - and none of the crazy woke laws are enacted.

Enabled by taxpayers that have never been to Oregon.

.

Lol 99% of Oregon has nothing objectionable. Are you perhaps conflating Portland or at least the I-5 corridor with the State of Oregon?

The bulk of this money will line the pockets of administrators, community organizers, and other so-called "homeless advocates." If OR really wanted to stop homelessness, they'd loosen regulations that prohibit developers & landlords from building units with smaller square footage, give more power to landlords, and put an end to NIMBYism.

Watch in 2 years, the homeless population will remain the same or increase.

BTW, the homeless are picky eaters. You need vegan, gluten free and other specialty food.

Statistics show that 75% of liberals are on medication for mental illness.

Which means that the other 25% are running around untreated.
