They seriously like "camping out" for life. It's their idea of freedom. They're like the hoboes of years past......

I met a few like that a few years back. They even called themselves hobos.

They were different than most today. This pair was willing to work, even soliciting casual employment. I found their attitude refreshing, so I gave them each $50 for a day helping me move.

Pure waste of money since drugs are still legal. I expect a sizeable amount to flow to charities that will figure out a way to fund the Democrats.

Yeah, with mail in voting we wind up with Demshevik majority.

Sucks.

Well, I was watching a Jack Hibbs sermon this morning, & he pointed out that when CA passed legislation okaying ballot harvesting, his church decided to do it, having members bring their ballots (& those of friends & family) to the church. Other churches followed suit & they were able to make an impact in several races, including one congressional race. If it’s okay in OR, then R’s need to take advantage. When I was in Corvallis, we had a majority of R’s who never voted. If we’d gone door to door asking for ballots, we might’ve made a difference in those elections.

My county is ultra rural. Going door to door will involve dogs, perhaps shotguns, and long, LONG dirt road driveways. A bit of ballot harvesting here and there will not make a dent once tallied and put on computers that use “systems” hooked up the internet. Local elections may have an impact. But to have clean elections country wide, much more is needed.

Yep. And by and large they do not want to answer to anybody for the way they live their lives. They would rather be living on the street that to be responsible for keeping up an apartment or home or simply living within the behavioral restrictions of a homeless shelter.

That is true. But your local GOP should be able to provide a list of R’s in the area, & contact info, like phone numbers. But this is something THEY should be doing: calling, asking for the ballot & sending someone out if necessary. I volunteered with Benton County GOP for years before giving up & moving.

If I had better health and was younger, I would get involved. But it is what it is...

I understand. I haven’t gotten involved here in Idaho. At some point, people are just going to have to wake up on their own. We can’t make them.

Oregon’s New State Song! (Or ANY Socialist Democrat enclave...)

Big Rock Candy Mountain

One evening as the sun went down
And the jungle fire was burning
Down the track came a hobo hikin’
And he said, “Boys, I’m not turning
I’m headed for a land that’s far away
Besides the crystal fountains
So come with me, we’ll go and see
The Big Rock Candy Mountains.”

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
There’s a land that’s fair and bright
Where the handouts grow on bushes
And you sleep out every night
Where the boxcars all are empty
And the sun shines everyday
All the birds and the bees
And the cigarette trees
The lemonade springs
Where the bluebird sings
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
All the cops have wooden legs
And the bulldogs all have rubber teeth
And the hens lay soft-boiled eggs
The farmers’ trees are full of fruit
And the barns are full of hay
Oh, I’m bound to go
Where there ain’t no snow
Where the rain don’t fall
The wind don’t blow
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
You never change your socks
And the little streams of alcohol
Come trickling down the rocks
The brakemen have to tip their hats
And the railroad bulls are blind
There’s a lake of stew
And of whiskey too
You can paddle all around them
In a big canoe
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
The jails are made of tin
And you can walk right out again
As soon as you are in
There ain’t no short-handled shovels
No axes, saws, or picks
I’m going to stay
Where you sleep all day
Where they hung the Turk
That invented work
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

Good for you! Our local “Job Connect” offers those type of people you describe a chance to be day laborers and earn some money. I’ve employed a few over the years, and they never have disappointed me.
