I just don't see a path for DeSantis here. Trump supporters simply aren't going to abandon him, they know he was screwed out of 2 terms, and they see all the usual GOPe suspects lining up behind DeSantis.
The only way DeSantis wins is if Trump fully endorses him, or dies.
Nothing against DeSantis, he's a great Governor, but it's just not there for him.
There have always been people like you that want Trump to be more like Romney or Bush. Good luck with that.

He’ll do his part just fine - winning the votes. The question is - can we do our part stopping the Democrats from stealing it again? There’s the rub.
That idea of “winning so big they can’t steal it” is just silly.
It’s like saying the solution to bank robberies is just put twice as much money in the bank - maybe the bank robbers won’t be able to fit it all in their truck - so they will leave some behind. :-)
No, if we let them get away with stealing elections, no amount of rational voters is ever going to be enough.
