You can say goodbye to your bases in the Philippines if the US were to declare in defeat over Taiwan. Nobody could trust the US.
Although I do believe that China is still going to keep applying pressure to Taiwan until Taiwan requests re-unification.

This is undoubtedly going to occur, or some variant of it, during the Biden administration. Biden’s response will undoubtedly totally fail. After another Kabul-style debacle, every nation will detach and make their own separate deals with China. The US Pacific defense policy will evaporate in a mist of lies and media coverups.
This plan includes an attack on Pearl Harbor and other American assets. The Chinese are truly delusional if they think they can attack America directly without suffering devastating destruction.
The prize in the article is Taiwan? For their trouble I would expect they lose all their important military bases, their navy, and if it comes to that, their major cities.
The Chinese are counting on this idea they can do damage to American forces and we will just accept a defeat. I’m pretty sure they will find themselves in a very hot war with the United States. And our allies will jump in because they know what’s going to happen if they don’t.
I didn’t read the whole article did they also attack India, Japan, and Australia at the same time?
